Walking rain is a phenomena that occurs on the mesa’s of New Mexico. Because you can see very long distances in the southwest, you can witness the wall of rain moving across the sky many miles away over the land interspersed glowing light and lightning. It is a dramatic and exciting sight to see. This painting captures the essence of Walking Rain.

    Beautiful piece…there’s a Navajo word for this, but I have no idea what it is. Would make a great, though extremely confusing, title for this piece. They call it the tall walking rain…
