The rich blue-greens were inspired by a summer visit to the lush,verdant hills of North Carolina. After having been in the desert for a long period, I felt calmly enveloped and held in the gentleness of deep green. And paradoxically I was energized by the vibrancy of the trees bursting with aliveness and undulating in the mountain breeze along with the meadows scattered with the pinks of the alpine wildflowers.
